Maybe you even brought the pet with you to do that? 3: You brought someone here because you have something unfortunate to tell them and wanted them to be distracted by cute things. 4: It was raining or something, you were forced to come here, it wasn't your choice, really. Maybe someone else dragged you. 5: Whatever you want.

[ooc: Hi! Welll, Anna would be all for getting a pet, or just going there to look at them, either one works, really! And I'm not even going to worry about how/why/if there would be a pet store in Arendelle.]

[Elsa is not sure how she managed to get dragged to a pet store by Anna, but here she is, at Arendelle's premiere pet shop, gazing at dogs and cats in little pens. The shop owner nearly had a heart attack when he realized that the Queen and Princess were in his store and has been falling over himself to be helpful, which is really quite embarrassing for Elsa because she's not here to be fawned over. She dislikes being fawned over. When the shop owner is momentarily distracted by trying to round up the cats into one pen, Elsa is finally able to turn to her sister and speak candidly.]

Are we just looking or are you seriously interested in a pet?

[Anna had barely even noticed the shop keeper fawning over either of them, because she herself is far too distracted by all the cute animals. Case in point: she's just found a really adorable silver tabby kitten and is so busy playing with it by dangling a hair ribbon in its line of sight, it takes her a moment to process Elsa's question. She glances up at her with a wide smile.]

I'm not really sure! What do you think? You think it'd be okay to keep a pet in the castle? We could make sure to limit what rooms it goes into, so it doesn't get lost.

[Elsa bends down next to her sister to examine the cat. Honestly, she's glad at this choice, considering the other louder, more destructive options that are available in this store.]

I think a cat is appropriate. We could keep it in the private quarters only.

[Anna knows that Elsa often relishes her peace and quiet. And Anna herself is sort of enough disruption of that on her own. And now they had Olaf too, who was an awful lot like a little Anna in personality, with a dash of weird, mysterious wisdom thrown in. (She's still not sure how he'd managed to get that, when he'd been created from snow. Elsa's magic was really mysterious that way.) So they didn't need a high-maintenance pet that was likely to just cause everyone more stress.

Though, Anna supposed, maybe a kitten could be kind of high-maintenance too. It sure is cute though, laying on its back and batting its tiny paws at the dangling ribbon.]

That would work! Do you like this one? Or did you want to look at some other cats? Maybe some that aren't so young?

[Cats, at least, are generally quiet and take care of themselves. Elsa rather likes the idea of having one though for some reason doesn't want to admit it out loud.]

I'm ok with a kitten. If you like this one, we can get it.

[Elsa reaches down and gently touches the kitten. She's scared of accidentally freezing it to death.]

Really? I don't think it has a name yet. We could name it!

[However, she's not sure what gender it is. It's rather affectionate though, and doesn't seem to shy away at all from Elsa's touch. Which makes Anna's smile widen. Even though Elsa has been able to control her magic a bit better since everything that happened, she still seemed nervous about contact with others. So it was nice to see her with the kitten that way.]
