[ That earns a chuckle from him as he places a dark red bookmark adorned with yellow eyes into his book before shutting it, his other hand leading the bird up to his shoulder so that it can step up to settle onto it. ]

I don't mind at all! Isn't like it's really my store. [ Though he does love him some animals. ] I can mop it up later... gives me something to do. No one usually comes in when it rains.

[ And he steps out from around the counter to head toward the large bird aviary against the back window. Presumably to put his tiny bird friend away. ]

[Relieved, he settles down a bit, looking toward Henry and at the bird perched so easily on his shoulder, like he's been doing this his entire life. Who knows, he probably could have. The store looks well-kept and well-stocked.]

[He rubs the nape of his neck as he follows Henry further into the store.]

I'm trying to balance her diet. She has been losing a lot of weight recently, so I think she might have worms. Anything that can help her stay comfortable will help, too. What do you recommend?

Oh, a stray, huh? Guess you can't really take a peek at her poop then. You know I found out one of the crows near my house had the starting of liver disease when he started pooping yellow on my window every day. You can tell so much from something's poop. [ He doesn't seem at all bothered by this topic of conversation as he carefully sets the parakeet up onto a perch inside the aviary. At least three others of the birds trying to hop onto his finger when he pulls it back. ]

I take in the little things all the time. She's probably got worms, but you might want to catch her and take her to the vet if you can to be safe. For now, though... [ He walks behind the counter again, knealing to dig through a box before pausing to look up over the counter at him. ] Do you how much she weighs? Kinda on the small side right now, right?

[Suffice to say, Makoto didn't expect the conversation to delve into that sort of topic and the way his smile kind of freezes and turns into a bit of a cringe at the same time says as much.]

I'm not very sure. But she is smaller than two or three kilos, yes. Or should she be lean?
